Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik released a Souvenir Postage stamp on Wednesday at the Men's Hockey World Cup in Odisha. The aim of releasing this postage stamp is to make the 14th Men Hockey World Cup in the state a memorable one. Patnaik said, "I want to thank the Department of Posts for issuing beautiful postage stamps during the World Cup.
Odisha Chief postmaster Jaleshwar Kalanar told that stall has been installed at Kaling stadium from where people can buy new postal stamps. He also said that state level exhibition will be organized in Keonjhar from December 15 to 17 for the promotion of postage stamps. In World Cup matches on Wednesday, Belgium will face Canada while India will have to face South Africa. The second inaugural function of the Odisha Men's Hockey World Cup will be held at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Wednesday evening, in which Bollywood actor Salman Khan and musician AR Rahman will be presenting their performances.
Salman wrote on his Twitter handle, "It is a pleasure to join the celebration of the men's Hockey World Cup in the Millennium City Cuttack on November 28, 2018. Encourage the world's best teams and make it memorable. The first inaugural ceremony of the World Cup was held at the Kalinga Stadium here on Tuesday evening, in which Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and AR Rahman performed.
