Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan says that our country requires video literacy. Actor Shah Rukh Khan was addressing the media at the Mumbai 2.0 event on Saturday. It was organized by the Maharashtra government. Shah Rukh said that he wants to work towards increasing video literacy in India.
They said, now I have got an opportunity to do something in my area, so that our younger generation can learn something. I think social media has become a big platform even as compared to television and movies. He said, Social media is making everyone aware of the media and I feel that there is still no video literacy in our country.
Cinema is an audio-visual medium and our culture is based primarily on talking. We are such people who listen to music and we speak a lot in our country but we do not give importance to visual medium. Shah Rukh said that we have to understand the difference between good and bad content and video literacy is essential for this.
