Google announced on Monday that it will open a new campus with a billion dollar investment in New York City. This complex, called Google Hudson Square, will be spread over 17 million sq ft and will be the primary place for the company's New York-based global business organization. According to Roth Port, chief financial officer and senior vice president of Google and his parent company, two buildings of Hudson Street will be ready by 2020, and by the year 2022, the building of 550 Washington Street will be ready.
Port said in a statement, "When we visited New York about two decades ago, it was our first office outside of California. Now there are more than 7,000 employees who speak 50 languages and work on a wide range of teams, including Search, Advertising, Maps, YouTube, Cloud, Technology Infrastructure, Sales, Partnership and Research. From Google, Google has donated more than $ 15 million to non-profit organizations in New York.
